South Africa: Crime Trends Show Decline But Government Still Concerned (AllAfrica.com)

Safety and Security Minister Charles Nqakula says although the crime trends report published Monday indicated a continuation of the steady decline in crime levels in South Africa as seen in the past five years, Government was still concerned that the levels of crime continue to be unacceptably high.
Scientists identify 21 news genetic risk factors

An international consortium of Crohn's disease researchers has combined data from three independent studies to identify 21 new genetic variants associated with the inflammatory bowel disorder, bringing the total number of risk factors to 32, according to a report available here on Monday.
